Air recirculation on/off
button (12 - fig. 102)
The air recirculation function is con-
trolled according to three strategies:
– automatic operation (LED on but-
ton off)
– forced ventilation on (recirculation
always on) - the green LED on the
button will come on
– forced ventilation off (recirculation
always off, air taken in from the out-
side) - the amber LED on the button
will come on
The three conditions are obtained by
pressing the air recirculation button
(12) in sequence.

will stay off when the recirculation
function is automatically controlled
by the system (consequently, the ac-
tual on/off status of the recirculation
function will not be displayed).
During automatic operation, the re-
circulation function is automatically
switched on when the pollution sen-
sor detects the presence of polluted
air, e.g. in cities, queues, tunnels and
during windscreen operation (due to
the characteristic smell of alcohol).
When the recirculation function is
controlled manually (green LED = re-
circulation on; amber LED = external
air taken in), the LED on the auto
button will come on if all the other
functions (air distribution, air flow,
etc.) are controlled automatically by
the system. In the same way, recircu-
lation will be controlled by the user
when the AUTO button is pressed.
IMPORTANT The air recirculation
function will allow, according to the
system operation (i.e. heating or cool-
ing) to reach the required conditions
faster. We recommend not turning
this function on manually on rainy
and/or cold days as this will consid-
erably increase window misting, es-
pecially if there are many people on
board.
The climate control sys-
tem compressor cannot
work when the outside
temperature is lower than approx-
imately 5°C. In these conditions,
the system automatically opens the
air recirculation (amber LED on).
You can switch recirculation back
to automatic (LED off) or override
it closed (green LED on). You are
advised not to use this function
since the windows could mist up
rapidly when the outside temper-
ature is low.
