Pan, Tilt, Zoom (PTZ)

This chapter describes how to set up PTZ control on the HRDV. Pan, Tilt, and Zoom
drivers are available to control:
Pelco® D PTZ cameras that support the Pelco D protocol
Kalatel® Cyberdome
VCL PTZ cameras
To set up PTZ control:
1.
Go to the Remote Access screen (MENU

In the RS-485 Setup area of the screen, set the HRDV Address (1 to 249). Typically
this address is predetermined by a system plan.
3.
Set HRDV is Master when the HRDV is controlling the dome. Set HRDV is Slave if
an external controller (for example, a Quarterback) is controlling the dome.
4.
In the Baud Rate field, select a baud rate that is identical to the operational baud
rate of the PTZ camera.
5.
In the Dome Address field:
a.
Select a camera (1 to 16).
b.
Set the dome address (1 to 249). Typically, this address is predetermined by a
system plan.
c.
Select the desired protocol (Pelco D, Kalatel, VCL).
d.
Select other cameras and configure according to the operational requirements
of the camera.
