Setting up a PTZ Camera

The PTZ controls within the DVR allow for powerful control over the cameras.
This can be extremely beneficial by increasing the usefulness of the recorded video.
Use the PTZ controls to create custom preset configurations that can continuously
sweep across large areas.
Setting up a PTZ Camera is simple since the DVR comes equipped with an internal RS-
485 or RS-422 adapter.
Attach the PTZ adapter. See Connecting a PTZ Camera in the Getting Started

Start the DVR.

Click the Setup button and select the PTZ Setup tab.
Select the PTZ camera from the Channel List.

Select the Pan/Tilt Connection to enable the PTZ functions of the camera.
Once enabled, select the appropriate protocol.

Protocols are a set of instructions written by the manufacture of the PTZ

cameras that allow software programs such as this DVR to control their
functions. The majority of well established PTZ manufacturers' protocols are
included in this software.
Click Apply and exit Setup.

From the Main Display Screen select the PTZ button to open the PTZ Graphical
Controller
Click on the live video displayed by the PTZ camera on the main display screen.

The camera number will appear on the PTZ Controller.
10. Use the arrow buttons to move the PTZ camera.
