OpenVMS Systems
OpenVMS systems require an ordered pair as the flags_value argument:
root_number and boot_flags.
root_number
Directory number of the system disk on which OpenVMS files
are located. For example:
root_number
0 (default)

boot_flags
The hexadecimal value of the bit number or numbers set. To
specify multiple boot flags, add the flag values (logical OR).
For example, the flag value 10080 executes both the 80 and
10000 flag settings. See Table 5–11.

Meaning
Bootstrap conversationally (enables you to mod-
ify SYSGEN parameters in SYSBOOT).
Map XDELTA to a running system.
Stop at initial system breakpoint.
Perform diagnostic bootstrap.
Stop at the bootstrap breakpoints.
Omit header from secondary bootstrap image.
Prompt for the name of the secondary bootstrap
file.
Halt before secondary bootstrap.
Display debug messages during booting.
Display user messages during booting.
