8.3.4 Recover from failures

This icon (also called the Recovery Guru) has dynamic behavior. If the whole storage
subsystem is in optimal status, it is stable and the click on it opens just window with
information: "No failures were detected on the storage subsystem". If some failure happens,
the small red shape starts flash on the Recovery Guru icon. Select the icon to get window like
in Figure 8-44, where the failure explanation and recommended actions are described.

The Recovery Guru window remains opened if you go back to subsystem manager window. If
the failure is corrected, it will close after "Recheck" is selected.
More detailed description of the Recovery Guru you can find in Chapter 14, "Administration -
Support" on page 337.

8.3.5 Manage enclosure alarm

This icon normally helps to set an acoustic alarm on managed subsystem, but as DS3500
storage subsystem has no beeper for acoustic alarms, it is always grayed and it is not
possible to use it.

8.3.6 Find in tree

This icon works only, when the Logical or Mapping tab is activated. It opens window like in
Figure 8-30 on page 213. It is used to find some logical object in selected tab.

8.3.7 Launch copy manager

The Copy Manger is a tool (see Figure 8-45 on page 221), that can help to monitor progress
and status of VolumeCopy operations. Also some configuration changes can be done on
