CYLINDERS AND PISTONS
3. Install:
S gasket (New) 1
S dowel pins 2
4. Lubricate:
S piston
S piston rings
S cylinder
(with the recommended lubricant)
5. Offset:
S piston ring end gaps
a Top ring
b Lower oil ring rail
c Upper oil ring rail
d 2nd ring
A forward
6. Install:
S cylinder block
NOTE:
S Install pistons #2 and #3 before installing pis-
tons #1 and #4.
S Pass the timing chain and timing chain guide
(intake side) through the timing chain cavity.
