Temperature

The VAR Router has an over-temperature alarm, and it is possible to configure the internal temperature at
which this alarm is raised by following these steps.
1.
Select Configuration System Misc Temp.
2.
Move to, and toggle to the required option in the left field:
[Not Conf] Max Temp(°C)=70
Not Conf
No fault will be reported.
Config'd
A fault will be reported if the temperature exceeds the configured maximum.
Default value:
'Not-Conf'
3.
Move to, and scroll the temperature field until the required threshold temperature is displayed.
Config'd [Max Temp(°C)=70]
Default value:
'70' °C
Possible values: 15 to 99°C

Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.

RS-232 Asynchronous Port
The RS232 port is used to connect to equipment such as PC/DVA system, and to PCs running remote fault
reporting software and the ASL Configuration Tool.
It is possible to define whether the RS232 port connection is direct or via a modem, and whether or not to
implement hardware flow control (i.e. suspend transmission when CTS is not asserted).
The default communications parameters are: 9600 bps, no parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit.
In order to configure the RS232 port proceed as follows.
1.
Select Configuration System Misc Async-Port.
2.
Move to, and toggle to the required CTS option in the left field:
[CTS disabled] Direct Connect
CTS disabled
Hardware flow control is not implemented.
CTS enabled
Hardware flow control is implemented.
Default value:
'CTS disabled'
