Configuring a Contact as an External Alarm Input

Any contact may be configured as an external fault input. An 18 character alphanumerical description is
assignable to a particular contact when configured as a fault input.
An active input to the port indicates a 'no fault' condition. An inactive input or open circuit on the port will
cause a fault to be reported and logged. The specific fault that is raised will be identified by the
alphanumerical description.
This is to enable external equipment, which provides normally closed relay contacts, to indicate healthy
status, to be integrated into the VAR Router fault annunciation and logging system. A typical example in a
VA system is the battery charger.
