Check the Comms and power wiring to Remote I/O
Unit.
Check RS485 termination.
Check that address of Remote I/O unit is correct.
If all above ok, suspect the unit itself. Check the unit's
internal CPU and COMMS LEDs.

or transients. Repeated occurrences indicate faulty
electronics.
Check the ambient temperature in the equipment
room and investigate Remote I/O unit loading and
drive conditions.
