Updating Software Manually
Polycom, Inc.
The following procedure describes how you update the KWS8000 software
manually if the default update procedure fails.
Prerequisites.
• Kirk serial cable.
• PC with HyperTerminal installed.
To Update Software Manually
Set the HyperTerminal to 115200, 8 data, no parity, 1 stop bit and no flow

control.
Select a free com port, and then connect the KIRK serial cable between the

com port on the pc and the serial port on the KWS8000.
Power on the KWS8000 system. The following the terminal window is

displayed.
