Answering machine

Dictate / information

You can use your answering machine to dictate personal information. If you speak your informa-
tion while the answering mode is on, other persons can retrieve this information via a remote inter-
rogation function. In this way, your answering machine can serve as an electronic mailbox.

Information is stored as a normal message and can be played back at any time. The informati-
on recording is terminated automatically as soon as the recording capacity is exhausted.

Message transfer

In the answering mode with message transfer on, your tiptel 195 dials a pre-programmed desti-
nation number after an incoming message has been recorded. If the destination number is busy,
the device will redial the number up to six times every 60 seconds. When the handset of the pro-
grammed destination number is picked up, the following announcement is heard:
"Automatic call, X messages, please perform a remote interrogation. I repeat ...".
If a remote interrogation is not performed within 20 minutes, the answering machine will call the
destination number again as a reminder. This procedure will be repeated twice if no remote inter-
rogation is performed. If you also programmed your own telephone number as identification, the
following announcement is heard.:
" Automatic call, telephone number ... (own telephone number), x messages, please perform
remote interrogation. I repeat ...".
During the announcement, there is the option to start the remote interrogation of the recorded
incoming message(s).
