If the wrong TV stan- dard is selected, you will not be able to hear the sound, or it will be distorted. The TV standard "L" also uses a different standard for transmission of the picture.

35. Copying between AV Devices Opening the menu Direct recording If you wish to copy a recording from one of the AV devices connected to your TV set (such as a DVD player) to another connected AV device (such as a video recorder), you must do this by means of a direct recording operation.
