22.1 Setting Stations Opening the menu TV-Standard for analogue stations MENU Various TV standards for picture and sound are used in different countries. If the wrong TV stan- dard is selected, you will not be able to hear the sound, or it will be distorted. The TV standard "L" also uses a different standard for transmission of the picture.
22.1 Setting Stations Opening the menu Analogue TV Terrestrial station search The terrestrial station search automatically searches MENU the entire range of available reception frequencies for stations. All stations which are found are placed in the station table which is displayed at the end of the search operation.

38. Glossary Tone settings The tone can be set to either "Normal" or "Speech". In the setting "Speech", the bass and treble components of the sound signal are set to make speech as easy to understand as possible. The setting "Normal" is recommended for music programmes.

Calling the menu Audio/language selection Various programs are transmitted with several audio channels (e.g. multilingual or Digital Audio). If you are receiving a multilin- gual programme the informa- tion box on the bottom left of the screen features the Pr 30 Stereo logo.
Connect a PC To connect a PC to the LCD TV, you must first regi- ster the PC with the LCD TV; see Chapter 25 "Registering AV Devices". Set the signal type for the PC to DVI-A (analogue with VGA cable) or DVI-D (digital with DVI cable), depending on the connection type.
Portal stations Various pay TV stations broadcast portal stations. These portal stations are filled with sub-stations or optional channels. In station search (see ch. 22) in "Search settings" the setting "all", "only free" or "free+CICAM" must be set so that these stations can be found too.
