Enable the User Password parameter in the System Security menu by pressing the
left or right arrow key. The User Password screen appears, as shown in Figure 4-14:

2. Type a password in the Enter Password field. The password may consist of up to
seven characters.
3. Press the Enter key. Retype your password in the Enter Password again field to
verify your first entry.
4. Highlight Set or Change Password and press the Enter key.
5. Press the Esc key to return to the System Security menu and then press the Esc key
again to exit Setup. The Save Changes screen appears, as shown in Figure 4-15:

6. Choose Yes to save your settings and exit Setup. Your password will be saved to
CMOS.
