Rear Seat Belts
The rear seat is equipped with three seat belts; the two outer seat belts are three-
point type seat belts and the rear seat center passenger position is a two-point,
lap-belt type. The rear seat belts operate the same as the front seat belts; refer
to procedure for fastening the front seat belts as described previously in this
section. The figure at right illustrates the rear seat belt system.
Hazard Warning
When the hazard switch, 1, is pressed on the center of the dash panel, all turn
signal indicators and side markers flashes to warn other motorists of a hazard. The
hazard warning operates without the key.
Advance Warning Triangle
An advance warning triangle is included with the vehicle and is located in the
trunk area, on the rear seat back. Set up the advance warning triangle to alert
other drivers that the vehicle is disabled along the side of the roadway. Place
the triangle 50 meters behind the vehicle in the same lane of traffic. Increase the
distance to 150 meters when a hill or curve obstructs the view of the vehicle.
