Do not cross the battery cables; serious damage to the vehicle
electrical system will result.

Re-install the battery cables, positive cable first, then the negative (-) cable.

Adding Water

Check the battery electrolyte level against the 'MIN' (minimum) mark, 1, on
the front of the battery case. If the battery electrolyte is below the 'MIN' mark,
carefully use a coin (do not use a screwdriver) to remove the caps, 2, on the
battery top and add distilled water until the fluid level is at the bottom of the caps.
Use distilled water only. Do not fill with electrolyte, tap water, or any other fluid.
Battery electrolyte is poisonous! Use a protective faceshield, gloves,
and clothing when working with the battery. If battery electrolyte
comes in contact with eyes or skin, flush the affect area for 15
minutes with running water. Seek medical attention immediately.
Add distilled water to the battery only! Do not add electrolyte.

Charging

If the battery requires charging, follow these safety tips:
Disconnect the battery leads from the battery when connecting a charger.
Do not overcharge the battery.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions on connecting and using the
battery charger.
Do use a charger to charge the battery with the battery leads connected.
Serious damage to the vehicle electrical system may result.
