MAINTENANCE AND CARE – Extended Storage

ExTENDED STORAGE

The following list provides tips for storing the vehicle for an extended period
of time:
• Wash and wax the vehicle. Polish any chrome surfaces.
• Park the car on a level surface and place the transaxle in first or reverse
gear. Do not engage the parking brake.
• Lower a window(s) slightly.
• Coat the windshield wiper blades with talcum powder and lift the wiper
arms off the glass.
• Check the battery charge every six (6) weeks or connect a battery
maintainer. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable while the vehicle is

in extended storage.
• Do not drain the engine coolant.
• Inflate the tyre pressure 0.5 bar (7 PSI) above the recommended inflation
pressure of 1.9 bar (27 PSI).
• If possible, park the car in a covered area, such as a garage or other well
ventilated area. If a garage is not available, cover the vehicle with a cloth
vehicle cover or a perforated plastic cover that allows moisture to escape
from under the cover.
