(External) REFERENCE IN/OUT Connector, BNC

The CONSOLE (Remote Control Interface) connector is a 9-pin Type 'D'
male connector. It is intended for connection to an M&C computer or
terminal device, and is used for EIA-232 communication that is fixed at
38400 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, and 1 stop bit (38400-8-N-1). Refer to
Table 3-3 for pinouts.

The REFERENCE IN/OUT connector is a BNC female connector. The signal
supplied here by the user is used for phase-locking the internal 10MHz
reference oscillator, and can be an input of 1, 2, 5 or 10 MHz or an output of 10
MHz. The impedance is matched for 50Ω, and requires a level in the range of 0
dBm to +10 dBm ±3 dB.
