Purpose
Specify the source IP address to be used for
communication with Radius servers. 0.0.0.0 is interpreted
as a request to use the IP address of the outgoing IP
interface.
Assign a name to a RADIUS server. The default RADIUS
server name is Default-RADIUS-Server.
Set the authentication and encryption key for all RADIUS
communications between the switch and the RADIUS
server.
NOTE:
You can also use the radius-server key [
command in Global Configuration mode to set the same
authentication and encryption key for all configured RADIUS
servers.
Specify the order in which the servers are to be used, with
0 being the highest priority. The range is 0-65535, with 0
being the highest priority.
Specify that a configured server should be the primary
server in the group of authentication servers which have
the same server name.
Optionally, specify the number of minutes to mark an
unavailable RADIUS server as dead. The range is 0–2000
minutes.
NOTE:
If the primary server fails and an available backup
server is found and marked as the
will not attempt to contact the failed primary server for five
minutes even if the dead time is configured as less than five
minutes. For more information, see "How Does the Switch
Determine Which RADIUS Server to Contact?" on page 166
Specify the timeout value (range: 1–30 seconds) after
which a RADIUS client must retransmit a request to the
RADIUS server if no response is received.
Exit to Global Configuration mode.
Enable RADIUS accounting on the switch.
