Configuring Appliance-Level Settings

IBM Proventia Network Enterprise Scanner User Guide, Version 1.3
To configure appliance-level settings, you must log in to the appliance and run the
Proventia Setup Assistant. Appliance-level settings define the network and administrative
settings for the agent. You can change most of the settings later through the Proventia
Manager or through the SiteProtector Console.
Set up the terminal emulation program as described in "Setting Up Your Appliance for
Initial Configuration" on page 31.
To configure basic settings:
1. With the terminal emulation connection to your appliance, wait for the
unconfigured.appliance login:

A space-delimited list of domain names that make up your DNS
search path.
