Before you can schedule any updates, you must configure how the agent gets updates.
The topics in this section apply to automatic and to one-time updates.
The following table describes the decisions you need to make about configuration options
and the information requirements for each option:
Configuration Options
If you use a locally managed SiteProtector XPU Server, you must have the following
information:
•
host name or IP address of the XPU Server (See page 221.)
•
whether the agent is to use trust all or explicit-trust authentication to establish a secure
communication channel with the XPU Server (See page 220.)
Important: Explicit-trust authentication requires additional configuration.
If the agent goes through a proxy server to get to the update location, you must have the
following information to configure the proxy server (See page 222.)
•
address and port number of the proxy server
•
whether to enable authentication
Note: To enable authentication, the user ID and password may be required.
Do you want to send notifications to the SiteProtector Console and to the Proventia
Manager about the update process? You may send notifications for any of the following (See
page 223.)
•
An update is available.
•
An update was installed.
•
