Ad hoc scans and
refresh cycles

Refresh cycles do not apply to ad hoc scans; they apply only to background scans. Ad hoc
scans run until they finish or until you stop them. Ad hoc scans pause during closed scan
windows if you restrict the scans to run only during open scan windows.
Do not confuse refresh cycles and scan windows. Even if an ad hoc scan runs
