IBM Proventia Network Enterprise Scanner User Guide, Version 1.3
Enterprise Scanner uses the Proventia OneTrust license technology. OneTrust licensing
simplifies license management for your Enterprise Scanner agents and for other IBM ISS
products that support OneTrust licensing. This topic explains how to acquire your
OneTrust licenses through Proventia Manager for your agent.
You must acquire your licenses before you can update your agent.
Important:
For detailed information about OneTrust licenses, see the SiteProtector
Reference:
documentation.
An agent that is an appliance, such as Enterprise Scanner, comes with a serial number.
That serial number is associated with your IBM ISS customer ID, and your IBM ISS
customer ID identifies your licenses. You must acquire the licenses associated with your
agent's serial number, using one of the options described below.
The options for acquiring licenses depend on how your agent connects to the IBM ISS
Download Center:
If your agent...
has a connection to the
Internet
must go through a Proxy
server
must use a local source to
acquire a license
