Using the keypad, type in the fax number of the recipient.
F-codes (SUB and SID) can also be entered. Refer to "Using F-
codes" on page 3-2.

Press the [Start] key.
Scanning and transmission begin.

A maximum of 30 digits can be entered for the fax number.
Characters that can be entered: Numbers (0 through 9), , #, spaces, and
pauses
For details on entering text, refer to "Entering text" on page 1-12.
If the [Redial/Pause] key is pressed while entering the fax number, a 3-
second pause is added. A pause appears as "P" in the display.
If the machine is connected to a PBX line and the outside line access
number has been specified as described in "Selecting the telephone wir-
ing system ("PSTN/PBX" parameter)" on page 1-27, enter "#" to dial the
outside line access number automatically.
One-touch dialing
If one-touch dial keys have already been programmed with fax numbers, the
fax number of a recipient can be specified simply by pressing the corre-
sponding one-touch dial key.

For details on programming a one-touch dial key, refer to "Registering
one-touch dial destinations" on page 5-19.
