4.2 Monitoring ETERNUS DX Disk Storage System Status
Check the system status regularly by checking the LEDs of the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system or the status
display function of ETERNUS Web GUI.
CAUTION
In addition, setting event notification enables e-mail notification messages or SNMP Trap messages for events
that occur in the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system in order to monitor the status of the ETERNUS DX Disk
storage system.
Event notification and status display for the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system can be performed by ETERNUS
CLI. When ETERNUS CLI is used, refer to "ETERNUS CLI User's Guide".
4.2.1

LED Status Check

The status of the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system can be checked by the LEDs.
If the FAULT LED in front of the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system is amber, contact your maintenance
engineer.

Impending trouble may be indicated by the warning message FAULT LEDs of the
ETERNUS DX Disk storage system. The LEDs and the general status of ETERNUS
Web GUI should be checked regularly to prevent any serious trouble from
occurring.
