remote access to any authorized network client, to send alerts, and to perform
other management functions.
Using any standard Web browser, you can:

Remotely access the console of the host server, including all text mode
and graphics mode screens with full keyboard and mouse controls.
I
Remotely power up, power down, or reboot the host server.
I
Remotely boot a host server to a virtual floppy image to perform ROM
upgrade or to install operating systems.
I
Access the Compaq Insight Manager agents on a host server through the
Remote Insight board.
I
Send alerts from the Remote Insight board regardless of the state of the
host server.
I
Access advanced troubleshooting features provided by the Remote
Insight board.
I
Launch a Web browser, use Simple Network Management Protocol
(SNMP) alerting, and diagnose the Remote Insight board using Compaq
Insight Manager.
Figure 5-1 illustrates a Remote Insight expansion board, and Figure 5-2
illustrates a Remote Insight expansion board installed in the ProLiant DL380
Generation 2 server.
