Setting the Format of the Timestamp Field for a Directory

This procedure enables you to specify the format for the Timestamp field in a directory.
NOTE:
You can only perform this feature if the directory has a Timestamp field.
The Timestamp field enables you to identify what records were modified in a directory, when the records
were modified, and who modified the records. You have the option to create the Timestamp field when you
create the directory. You cannot add the Timestamp field to a directory after that directory is created.
If a directory has the Timestamp field, MasterDirectory prompts you for your name every time you open the
directory file. If any records are modified, the name you enter appears in the Timestamp field.
To set the format of the Timestamp field for a directory:
1.
Open the directory you want to change.
2.
From the Settings menu, choose Directory Properties.
The Directory Properties dialog box appears, displaying the General tab.
3.
In the Format box of the Timestamp Field, enter the time and date format you want MasterDirectory to
use.
4.
When you are finished, choose the OK button.
