MasterDirectory User's Guide
Performing Builds
The Build feature combines the import and export procedures, enabling you to execute all the import
map(s) and the export map(s) associated with the directory in one action. When you use the Build
command, MasterDirectory immediately imports the data into the directory and then immediately exports
the data to the specified destination file(s). You can also schedule builds to occur at specific times of the
day. (Refer to "Scheduling" later in this chapter.)
To build a directory:
1.
Open a database file.
2.
From the Data Exchange menu, choose Build All.
The following dialog box appears:

Choose the OK button.
A message box appears, displaying the status of the build process. When the build is completed, the
following message box appears:
