In the Source box, enter the path and name of the file you want to import. You may use the Browse
button to select the file you want to import.
Once you specify the source file, the first record of information from the source file appears in the
Record Layout box. If you click the mouse in this record and then press the ENTER key on your PC
keyboard, the position of the cursor appears in the "Press ENTER to see the current position" area.

In the Number Of Fields box, enter the number of fields contained in each record and press the ENTER
key on your PC keyboard.
The Additional Parameters area displays the Offset and Length for each field. Field 1 is selected.

In the Offset box, enter the offset value and then press the ENTER key on your PC keyboard.
The offset value you entered appears in the Offset column for Field1.

In the Length box, enter the maximum number of characters in Field1, and then press the ENTER key
on your PC keyboard.
The length value you entered appears in the Length column for Field1.
10. In the Additional Parameters area, select the next field and repeat steps 8 to 9. You must specify the
offset and length for every field.
When you are finished, proceed to Step 11.
11. Choose the Next button.
The Create Import Map (Step 3 of 4) dialog box appears.
