Configuring Dot1ag (CLI)

This section provides information about the commands you use to configure
Dot1ag settings on the switch. For more information about the commands,

Configuring Dot1ag Global Settings and Creating Domains

Beginning in Privileged Exec mode, use the following commands to configure
CFM settings and to view global status and domain information.

Description
Enter global configuration mode.
Enables connectivity fault management services.
Set the time interval (range: 1–65535 seconds) after
which inactive RMEPs are removed.

Configure the Continuity Check Message (CCM)
transmit interval for the specified VLAN.
name
Create a maintenance domain (MD) by assigning a
name and level (0–7), and enter Maintenance
Domain Config mode for that MD.
vlan-id
Create a maintenance association (MA) within the
current MD by associating it with a VLAN and
naming the association (as a service instance).
Exit to privileged Exec Mode
Display the configured parameters in the
Maintenance Domain.
