Appendix C Troubleshooting
Appendix C Troubleshooting
The following summarizes troubleshooting on specifying configuration settings.
Symptom
Disk array is not
recognized.
Terminating of iSMconf
or iSMautobind failed.
Cause
On Windows 2000 or Solaris with
FC-connection monitoring bus,
restarting OS with all LD
cancelled for configuration
change causes failure of
recognizing disk array.
Fault may have occurred in disk
array or control path.
4
Action
Terminate an OS and turn off the
power of disk array. Activating
the disk array first, and then
restarting the OS allows
recognizing the disk array.
After recovery from fault, activate
the system with "-f" command
specified on iSMconf and
iSMautobind. Specifying "-f"
command allows selecting a target
disk array. Note that if the setting
command is being used by others,
disk array settings are not
performed correctly.
