(1) Start the Program
To start the program, type "iSMautobind" on the command line.
Right after the program started, the version is displayed as follows.
>iSMautobind
iSMautobind
* This is a display example. "Version" is displayed by the actual program version.
* Before starting the program, set the iSM Server monitoring function to OFF for the targeted disk array.
* Note the following when starting this program to perform Batch Setting:
Batch Setting is disabled if an LD bound in the target PD group is set as one of paired disks for using the data
replication function. Before starting the program, confirm that the LD is not set as one of paired disks. For
the checking and releasing method, refer to 3.3.1 "Pair Setting/Unpair" in the "NEC Storage Manager Data
Replication User's Manual (Function Guide)" in accordance with your OS.
* iSMautobind guards simultaneous execution because the disk array setting may be invalid due to multiple
executions. The guard may remain when iSMautobind is forcibly terminated. If the following message is
displayed, type iSMautobind with -f option after checking that any other setting command is not being used.
The -f option enables to select the targeted disk array by iSMautobind. If other users have executed other
setting commands, disk array cannot be set correctly. Therefore, hence, extra care is advised.
iSM11105:Specified Disk Array Subsystem is being set by another maintenance tool.
