- The menu indicates selected disk array name and serial number.
- No.0 to 9 indicate the menu for PDs.
- No.20 to 27 indicate the menu for disk arrays.
- Type the number of menu you want to execute.
- If you type the number other than shown in ( ), [Illegal Number!!] is displayed.
Enter Return key to display the menu again.
- Select [Q] to end the program.
- Only Windows 2000 and Solaris can use Dynamic Capacity Expansion.

The following explains the basic operations of setting command taking RANK Bind as an example.
(1) Selecting Command
Select a command to be executed, then type the number displayed on the left of the item. After this, press the
RETURN key; the following parameter entry screen appears.

conf:rankbind> RAID Type (5 | 1 | 10) [5] =
conf:rankbind> Number of PD (3 - 15) [5] =
conf:rankbind> Number of RANK (1 - 64) [1] =
conf:rankbind> Rebuilding Time (0 - 24) [10] hour =
- Type a numeric value or alphabetic character in each displayed parameter, then press the RETURN key.
- The contents enclosed with parentheses ( ) indicate an allowable range.
- Some entry items can be specified with multiple numeric values. In this case, insert a comma (,) between
numeric values. When specifying serial numbers, delimit the starting and ending numbers by a hyphen (-).
For example, when typing numbers 5 to 9, key in "5-9".
- If a value outside the allowable range is specified, message "Illegal Parameter!!" appears. In this case, specify
the same item again.
- Brackets [ ] indicate a default value when the menu is selected first. When the menu selected twice or more,
previous value is indicated in brackets. The default value is not displayed depending on parameters.
- No parameter needs to be specified for some commands. In this case, the command is executed immediately.
- For some commands, select "Standard" or "Custom" in the parameter entry mode.
Select "Standard" to input the standard parameters. Select "Custom" to input specific parameters.
