If your food processor s houldfail to operate,checkthe
following:
If you havedifficulty removingthe food pusherfrom the
feedtube:
- Make suretheworkbowl a ndworkbowl c over a reproperly
locked onthe base, a ndthefoodpusher i sinserted t o the
maximum fill lineonthefeedtube.
- Food particles a reprobably l odged inthe interlock s ystem.
Tofreethepusher, soak theworkbowl c over i n warmwater
or washit in a dishwasher.
See if thefoodprocessor isplugged intoa grounded 3
prongoutlet.If it is,unplug thefoodprocessor, thenplugit
intothe same outletagain. I f thefoodprocessor stilldoes
notwork,check t hefuseor circuit b reaker on theelectrical
circuit t hefoodprocessor isconnected t o andmake surethe
circuit i sclosed.
If theproblem cannot b ecorrected withthesteps in thissection,
seetheKitchenAid Warranty a ndService section on page 93*.
* Do not return the food processor to the retailer - they do not provide service.
If the food
processor
shuts off while
it is running:
The food processor may be overheated. If the motor exceeds
a certain temperature, it will automatically shut off to
prevent damage. This should be an extremely rare
occurrence. If it happens, press the Off Button and wait
15 minutes for the food processor to cool before resuming.
If the food processor still refuses to run, wait an additional
15 minutes for the food processor to cool.
