    Service Procedures Replace the housing base onto the motor housing in the reverse order. ® Most of the KitchenAid Food Processor components are contained within the food processor motor housing. Perform the Component Access procedure to gain access to the food processor components.

  • Page 17 MOTOR REPLACEMENT To remove the motor, the motor screw NOTE: - ALL MODELS - covers must be removed and will be destroyed during the process. Replace the motor screw covers with new ones. To replace the motor (all models): (Refer to the Parts List for replacements.) Turn the motor housing to where the top is facing up.

Remove the motor following the Motor Replacement procedure. Using a T-20 torx driver, remove the M4X8 washer screw securing the cable clamp to the motor housing.
  • Page 20 SPLASH PROOF SWITCH LEVER/TORSION With the bottom of the motor housing facing up and the SPRING REPLACEMENT switch assembly face orientated towards the top, insert the 7 CUP FOOD PROCESSORS - torsion spring over the lever mounting boss with the “L- shaped end towards the right and facing up.
  • Page 21 Position the torsion spring over its mounting hub on the SPLASH PROOF SWITCH LEVER/TORSION switch lever making sure the spring ends that extend out SPRING REPLACEMENT are facing up. 9 & 12 CUP FOOD PROCESSORS Locate the straight end of the torsion spring in its locating position on the back side of the switch lever.

    Problem Guide PROBLEM: No power to food processor. CAUSE: Damaged Power Cord. SOLUTION: Replace Power Cord. PROBLEM: No power to food processor. CAUSE: User’s power receptacle is not supplying power to the food processor. SOLUTION: Check the power supply receptacle to make sure its “hot.” Check receptacle breaker and/or receptacle wiring. PROBLEM: No power to food processor.
