Using the NDMP Agent

The NAS server provides built-in NDMP version 2 and 3 support. NDMP is an
open-standard protocol that allows for a "universal agent." This agent allows the
NAS server to:
Three-way backups are also allowed. A three-way backup consists of backing up
one NAS server's data to a storage device connected to another NAS server. The
backup server allows for the management and control of the backups and restores.

Connecting Tape Library Devices

The NAS server supports the HP tape and tape library products. For updated
information about supported tape library devices, see the NAS 8000 support web
