Configuring UPS Connections

If you are using an optional UPS for your NAS server, the NAS server
communicates with the UPS through an ethernet connection.
To set up and monitor a UPS connection for your NAS server:
1. Get the authentication information from your UPS administrator.
2. In Command View NAS, click the Configuration tab.
3. Navigate to UPS.
4. Select Actions > Enable UPS.

Monitors the status of the UPS. If the UPS ever defaults to battery power, the
system reports the status as an event in the Event Summary, and generates an
SNMP trap.
