Battery replacement

C A U T I O N
The clamp meter is powered by a 9 V alkaline battery. To ensure that the
clamp meter performs as specified, it is recommended that you replace the
battery as soon as the low battery indicator is displayed in the
annunciator display. The procedures for battery replacement are as
follows:
1 Set the rotary switch to off.
2 Disconnect test leads from the input terminal.
3 Loosen the screw on the battery cover.
4 Lift the battery cover slightly, then pull the battery cover upwards.
5 Replace the specified battery.
6 Reverse the procedures above to close the cover.

The battery must be recycled or disposed off properly after depletion.
To avoid instruments being damage from battery leakage:
• Always remove dead batteries immediately.
• Always remove the batteries and store them separately if the clamp
meter is not going to be used for a long period.
