If the processors do not match:
a. Make sure the cache coherency filters are seated securely.
b. Follow the instructions in "Run Setup Utility" in Chapter 8 to change
the Processor Retest Option to Yes.
c. Power on the NetServer again and check to see if the problem has been
corrected. If not, turn off power, disconnect the AC power cord, and
reseat the processor.

Start the HP NetServer Navigator CD-ROM

Once the NetServer has started successfully, start the HP NetServer Navigator
CD-ROM.
1. Insert the new HP NetServer Navigator CD-ROM you received with this
upgrade kit and restart the NetServer.
2. When the HP Navigator starts, a message alerts you if you need to update
the BIOS:
Version of BIOS on the NetServer Navigator
CD-ROM is newer than the BIOS detected in
your NetServer.
If this message appears, click Continue and follow the instructions in the
next section to update your BIOS and firmware.
3. If you don't need to update your BIOS, exit the NetServer Navigator and
follow the instructions in Chapter 7 to finish the assembly of your
NetServer LXr 8500.

Update the BIOS and Firmware, If Necessary

To update the system BIOS and firmware:
1. From the HP NetServer Navigator Main menu, choose NetServer
Utilities.
2. Choose More NetServer Utilities.
3. Choose BIOS Update Utility from the NetServer Utilities menu.
4. Click Execute.
The utility partition is created or updated as necessary.
