2. Determine the status of the printer.
3. Ensure that the Novell queue is set to release jobs.
Problem: The file system is out of disk space
1. Check the console window for messages regarding full
partitions.
2. Use the df command to determine which partition is full.
3. If the /var/spool/XRXnps/outQ/ partition is full:
a. Place all queues (receiving and releasing) on hold.
b. Allow all processing jobs to complete printing.
c. Delete all the *bm* files in the var/spool/XRXnps/
outQ/ directory.
d. Release all held queues.
4. If the /opt partition is full:
a. Delete any unnecessary files.
b. Compress and move any core files in the /opt/
XRXnps/corefiles directory.
5. If the /var/spool partition is full:
a. Determine the size of the /var/spool/XRXnps/inQ
directory.
b. If the job is larger than half of the size of the /var/
spool/XRXnps/inQ directory, delete the job and
restart the Xerox software.
c. Store the job on a server. From the client, use either
the "Remote File Option" from the Xerox Document
Submission software, or the sourceFile<path>
command from the Print Client software to resubmit
the job.
d. Delete any faulted, ineligible, or held jobs that are no
longer needed.
e. If completed jobs have not been deleted, the directory
/opt/XRXnps/log/errorLogs has a tendency to fill up
with error.##.log files. You may want to delete these
log files periodically.
6. If any other partition is full, free some space on that
partition by deleting any unnecessary files.
7. If there is only one job in the printer queue, cancel the job.
Resubmit the job in smaller portions.
