3. Remove the SIMM stick from the system board. Repeat step 2 for each SIMM to
be removed.

5 1/4-Inch Device Removal

Remove an 5 1/4-inch device from the 5 1/4-inch device cage per Figure 5-12, and the fol-
lowing steps.
Remove the system unit cover, front panel, and 3 1/2-inch drive bracket as

previously described.
Unplug all signal and power cables from the device(s) in the 5 1/4-inch device

cage (see Figure 5-12).
Remove the four device screws; two from each side of the 5 1/4-inch device cage

(see Figure 5-12).
