System Unit Top Cover

This subsection describes how to remove and replace the system unit top cover.

Removal

To remove the system unit top cover, proceed as follows:
Turn off system unit and all connected peripheral devices.

Unplug the system unit power cord and disconnect all peripheral cables connected
2.
to the system.
3. Position the system unit horizontally with the power button facing up.
4. Place your hands around the rear corners of the unit.
Lift up the system unit top cover approximately a half-inch and slide the cover
5.
toward you (see Figure 5-1).
