Swing the lever down to lock the processor in the socket.

Lower the heatsink onto the processor.

Install the heatsink bail.
Check to see if the newly installed processor requires a system board jumper

Close the chassis (see "Closing the System Chassis").

Hard Disk Upgrade

The system contains one internal IDE hard disk as standard equipment. The hard disk is
installed in the top half of the system chassis. The hard disk data and power cables connect
to the riser card mounted in the bottom half of the chassis. The hard disk is configured as a
master device on the primary IDE channel.
To upgrade to another IDE hard disk, proceed as follows.
Remove the system unit cover (see "Removing the System Unit Cover" earlier in

this chapter).
Open the system unit chassis (see "Opening the System Unit Chassis" earlier in

this chapter).

Unplug the data and power cables from the hard disk installed in the top half of
the chassis (see the following figure).
4.
Remove the four screws securing the hard disk to the chassis.
CAUTION: Be sure to either reattach the
heatsink used with the old processor or install the
heatsink supplied with the new processor.
