Option Installation

Replacing the System Unit Top Cover

After installing the expansion board, memory module, processor upgrade, or hard disk
upgrade options as described later in this chapter, close the chassis and replace the system
unit top cover as follows:
Close the chassis as previously described.

Position the system unit top cover over the chassis with its front edge about one
inch in front of the chassis (see Figure 3-7, A).
3.
Holding the rear corners of the top cover, push down and slide the cover back so
it aligns with the rear of the system.
4.
Reconnect all external peripherals.
5.
Plug in the power cables.

Expansion Board

The system supports 32-bit, Plug and Play-compatible, Peripheral Component Interconnect
(PCI) expansion boards.
You can install one PCI board in the system. The board's Plug and Play capability allows
you to install a board without changing any hardware settings. There are no system resource
conflicts to resolve. Plug and Play automatically configures the board for the system.
