CAUTION: Before removing the battery, make sure your CMOS settings are backed up as all CMOS
settings will be lost when the battery is removed. To back up the CMOS settings, use Computer Setup and
run the Save to Diskette option from the File menu.
To remove the battery:
1. Press on the release tab 1 of the battery holder as shown in the following illustration.
2. Slide and lift the battery 2 out.
To install the battery slide the battery back in until it snaps back into place.

4.3.20 optical drive (minitower position)

To remove an optional optical drive, you must first release the drivelock. To release the drivelock:
1. Disconnect the power 1, drive 2, and audio 3 cables from the drive.
