4.3.16 memory

There are four memory sockets in the hp workstation xw4100. The system supports
industry-standard 184-pin, PC 2700 (ECC or non-ECC) compliant or PC 3200 (ECC only)
compliant 2.5V unbuffered DDR-SDRAM.
The system is capable of supporting up to 4 GB of memory (1 GB DIMM in each socket).
Although a single 128 MB DIMM configuration is possible (on XMM1 only), DIMMs should be
installed in pairs for optimal dual channel operation.
The following parameters relate to the supported memory:
Supported DIMM sizes include 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB, and 1 GB.
Paired DIMMs must be of the same type, size, and speed.
The first pair of DIMMs must be installed in XMM1 and XMM3.
The mixing of ECC and non-ECC memory is not supported.
Registered memory is not supported.
To remove DIMMs from the unit:
1. Gently push outwards on the socket levers 1 as shown in the following illustration.
2. Lift the DIMM 2 straight up and remove it from the unit.
To replace memory, reverse the previous steps.
DIMMs and the DIMM sockets are keyed for proper installation. Make sure these guides
