Close the front cover.
If you cannot close the front cover, do not force it
to close. Open the cover and make sure the toner
cartridge is properly set in the machine.
Replacing the Toner Cartridge with
a New One
When the message <TONER LOW/PREPARE NEW
TONER> appears on the display, redistribute the
toner inside the toner cartridge. If the message
persists after redistributing the toner, replace the
toner cartridge with a new one.
When toner empty error occurs while receiving fax,
printing fax is interrupted and the received data will
be stored in the memory. If you set <KEEP
PRINTING>, you can keep printing fax documents or
reports without replacing the toner cartridge. (See
"Specifying the Way of Printing When Toner Runs
Out, " on p. 6-49.)
Do not dispose of used toner cartridges in open flames. This
may cause the toner remaining inside the cartridges to ignite,
resulting in burns or fire.
Do not pull out the sealing tape forcefully or stop at midpoint,
as this may cause toner to spill out. If toner gets into your eyes
or mouth, wash them immediately with cold water and
consult a physician.
When closing the front cover, be careful not to get your
fingers caught.
When <KEEP PRINTING> is set, the printed documents may be
light or blurred because of lack of toner. The data is erased when
the documents are printed out, so you can not print the same
documents again. (See "Specifying the Way of Printing When
Toner Runs Out, " on p. 6-49.)
