Long Hair: Operators with mid-length to long hair are recommended to secure
their hair back before using/or coming close to the E-z Cool Coil, to prevent hair
from being pulled into the fan inlet.

2.4 Precautions

This section lists information pertaining to the safe operation of The stimulator.
Do Not Dispose In General Waste. Please contact Magstim
disposal in compliance with the appropriate environmental regulations.
Patient Data: Magstim recommends that you do not store Personally Identifiable
Data (PID) on either the User Interface (UI), or in the patient files exported to the
SD card.
Should you decide to store PID on the UI then it is the responsibility of the user
to ensure compliance with the HIPAA Security Rule, Hitech Act, and/or any other
relevant regulations as they relate to electronic Protected Health Information
(ePHI)."
Damage To Electricals: The The stimulator treatment coils must be kept
more than 30cm from devices sensitive to magnetic fields to prevent
malfunction, damage to the devices or injury.
Coil Temperature: The system monitors the coil surface temperature and if
this exceeds safe patient limits the stimulator will be disabled. The coil surface
temperature may continue to rise after this point; therefore, the coil must be
removed from the patient.
Transportation: In order to prevent damage and prevent the coil stand tipping,
during transportation and when not in use the AFC support stand should be
placed in the safe storage position, see "3.3.2. Storage position" on page 38.
Before manoeuvring, ensure The stimulator is disconnected from the mains
supply and that the mains filter and plug are securely stored on the cart.
Rear Panel Outputs: Only Magstim
standard should be connected to the Magstim
Protective Earth: To avoid the risk of electric shock, the Magstim
System must only be connected to a mains supply with protective earth.
Mains Connection: The mains connection for the Magstim
System must be made via a permanent, mains outlet. On no account should a
multi-way extension lead be used.
