5.2 Position of head frame plate/stitch plate in X- and Y-direction

Check:
•
Attach presser foot no. 1.
•
Presser foot should sit centred in the stitch plate.
•
A size 100 needle should sit in the centre of the
needle opening of the stitch plate.
Correction X direction:
•
Attach presser foot no. 1.
•
Loosen two screws 38 (T20).
•
Slightly loosen screw 24 (T20).
•
Use angled eccentric key 031563.50.00 to adjust
head frame plate in such way that the presser foot, in
x-direction, sits in the centre of the stitch plate.
•
Retighten two screws 38 (T20).
Rough correction of Y-direction:
•
Turn screw 24 (T20) in or out so that presser foot
no. 1, in y-direction, sits in the centre of the needle
opening of the stitch plate.
•
Adjust needle-/hook distance
Hook driver position).

5.3 Presser foot settings

5.3.1 Presser foot height

Check:
•
Attach presser foot no. 1.
•
Drop feed-dog.
•
Raise presser-foot lifter lever.
•
Using the presser-foot adjusting gauge 398031.13.3+,
check the height (7.5 mm).
Correction:
•
Attach presser foot no. 1.
•
Drop feed-dog.
•
Raise lifter lever.
•
Loosen presser-foot bar guide screw 15 (T8).
•
Place presser foot onto presser-foot adjusting gauge
398031.13.3+ (keeping it parallel to markings).
•
Lower presser-foot bar guide by hand.
•
Retighten screw 15 (T8).
