4.3.10 Main shaft and synchronizing disc

Disassembly:
Remove covers.
Loosen setscrew 7 (T10) and screw 17 (T30 M6X20).
Remove drive belt.
Release base shaft belt.
Loosen two screws 5 (T20 M4X10), remove clamps.
Pull entire base shaft off balance piece and slide out to the right.
Assembly:
Position balance piece in such way that the thread take-up lever faces the front.
Insert main shaft into balance piece from left and through base shaft belt.
Place spherical bearing into socket and fasten with two clamps and two screws 5 (T20 M4X10).
Important: Plastic washer 14 and shim washer 15 must be positioned correctly.
Push balance piece towards spherical bearing smoothly (without play or jamming).
Retighten setscrew 7 (T10) and screw 17 (T30 M6X20).
Loosen setscrew 10 (T8).
Use adjusting tool 030349.70.00 (on the flat side) to pin balance piece.
Position synchronization disc in such way that setscrew 10 can be tightened via the hole in the back.
Remove lower screw of main motor, loosen upper screw, raise motor and retighten upper screw.
Use pinning tool 002733.50.00 to pin hook drive crank.
Loosen two setscrews 6 (T10).
Reposition base shaft belt and tighten.
Retighten two setscrews 6 (T10).
Remove pinning tools.
Reposition drive belt and tighten.
Reconnect and refit front cover
Adjust synchronization disc
Refit covers.
Calibrate speed
